The Value Creating Board Copenhagen

The Value-Creating Board 2024

EY and SelectionF invite you to a mini-conference on September 3 in Copenhagen from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

For the third time, EY and SelectionF are collaborating to focus on the value-creating board.

Four major themes and trends are influencing the external—and soon internal—environments of companies: Geopolitics, Sustainability, Digitalization, and Skills & Talent. It is crucial that we, as boards of directors, address these themes in a way that makes them tangible and relevant for each individual company. Our four speakers will provide current perspectives on each of these themes, and through dialogue and a panel discussion, we will further explore how boards can incorporate these into their ongoing work

Through keynote presentations, panel discussions, and concrete cases, we will highlight how boards can address both topics.

Partner EY and former CEO of WWF/World Wildlife Fund: The Green Agenda – from Idea to Business
It is crucial that companies transition to being able to deliver on a climate-friendly future. What opportunities does a former environmental activist see in partnering with the auditing industry? It’s about much more than just reporting! It involves new business models and perspectives on doing business

Bodil Nordestgaard Ismiris, CEO Ledernes Hovedorganisation: The World Needs Good Leaders

Bodil Nordestgaard Ismiris will explore the emerging leadership paradigm that we find ourselves on the brink of.

As governance and regulations continue to evolve, she will highlight the growing importance of sustainable leadership in shaping the future of our organizations, societies, and the world at large.

She will discuss the critical values and virtue that must guide leaders in this new era.

Mie Krog, partner SelectionF and board professional: A VUCA World – volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity – what should we especially be aware of in 2024-2025?
We have gone through pandemics, supply chain issues, are still in the midst of war, and remain uncertain about how the new global agenda will unfold. Denmark, as part of the Nordics, as part of the EU, as part of the world – what should we focus on? East/West -> North/South?
Mie Krog highlights global trends that could have far-reaching impacts on Danish companies in the coming years.

Panel Discussion

What we have heard today covers the big picture—how and where do we, as the board, start addressing these issues?
