Elisabeth Grieg has extensive leadership experience across both the private sector and non-profit organisations. Her primary operational career has been defined by several key executive roles within the Grieg Maritime Group and Grieg Maturitas. A graduate of the BI Norwegian Business School, she furthered her professional development with executive education at the University of San Francisco.
Throughout her career, Elisabeth has built experience in corporate governance, holding a broad range of board positions within Norwegian and international enterprises. Beyond her various chairmanships within the Grieg Group, she has notably served as the President of the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association, Deputy Chair of Norsk Hydro, and a board member for prominent institutions such as Statoil, Nordea, and the London Business School. Her commitment to social responsibility is further reflected in her previous board service for SOS Children's Villages and SOS International.
Currently, she's active in the business community as the Chair of the Nomination Committee for Grieg Seafood and a board member of UN Global Compact Norway, alongside numerous other commitments within various professional networks.
Elisabeth is also recognised as an influential voice in public life, consistently advocating for greater gender equality and a more inclusive working environment.
