SelectionF, March 4, 2025
Since 2017, Styrelisten has worked to ensure that female board candidates contribute their expertise to Norwegian boards. Now, the Danish organisation SelectionF is taken over Styrelisten to strengthen this effort across the Nordic region.
A Strengthened Nordic Network
Styrelisten has built a solid database with over 750 female board candidates in Norway, while SelectionF is a Danish organization with more than 600 female board candidates across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. With the acquisition of Styrelisten, SelectionF will reinforce its position, providing companies with access to a broader network and increasing the chances of finding the right expertise for the right board.
This will help highlight the expertise of Nordic women in board governance and, through extensive collaboration, connect candidates with companies in Norway, the Nordic region, and Europe. The network consists of experienced female candidates who are leaders from various industries with broad national and international experience, specialists with sought-after expertise, and seasoned board members and chairs.
“By integrating Styrelisten into SelectionF, we can now provide companies with an even stronger foundation for board recruitment across the Nordic region. This is particularly valuable for our board candidates and for companies looking for opportunities across borders,” says Jørgen Rasmussen, CEO and founding partner, SelectionF
A Platform for the Future
Starting in the winter of 2025, Styrelisten’s candidates and activities will continue as an integrated part of SelectionF. This ensures continuity for both candidates and companies while strengthening the platform. With this acquisition, SelectionF will have the most comprehensive Nordic network of qualified female board candidates.
“By joining forces with SelectionF, we are enhancing opportunities for both companies and candidates. We believe that a Nordic platform with an increased focus on networking and competence development is the right step forward—an initiative that will create even greater value for everyone involved,” says Elin Mack Løvdal from Styrelisten.
Since 2017, Styrelisten has worked to promote competence-based board recruitment in Norway. As a non-profit initiative, it has built an extensive database of over 750 female board candidates. Through systematic efforts, Styrelisten has helped provide more women with relevant board opportunities, while companies have gained access to the expertise they need. Styrelisten was founded by Elin Mack Løvdal, Marianne Sagerup, and Anne Lise Gryte, who are now handing over the initiative to SelectionF for further development.
“We are confident that SelectionF, with its experience and Nordic presence, will be a strong steward of the network we have built,” says Elin Mack Løvdal.
About SelectionF
SelectionF was founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by Jørgen Rasmussen, Mie Krog, and Sanne Wall-Gremstrup. Shortly after its establishment, former Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt and Mikkel Birn joined the partner group. Today, the network includes more than 600 female candidates across Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway, with strong professional backgrounds—over 40% of candidates have CEO experience, and more than 30% have board chair experience. Through courses, networking, and development programs, SelectionF serves as a hub for skills and knowledge, focusing on leadership, board governance, and strategic management.
“We are very pleased that two strong and well-established networks, which have developed complementary strengths over the years, are now joining forces. This is crucial for ensuring a broad range of expertise for Nordic companies, enabling them to tackle major challenges while strengthening their opportunities for value creation in the future,” says Christina Endresen, SelectionF Norway.
